Who is the course for?
This course is suitable for all those handling storing and transporting LPG gases potentially in one of these applications, highway maintenance, manufacturing, engineering, construction, heating and demolition.

Course content
This training course combines classroom and practical demonstration to provide learners with an understanding of the safe use, handling, storage and transportation of LPG gases. Attendance gives staff information to understand the specific hazards and properties of LPG gases.
After the classroom element of the course (1.5 hours) learners will have an understanding of:
- User behaviour & perceptions
- Gas properties & hazards
- Flammable toxic & special gases
- Cylinder identification & data
- Gas equipment
- Emergency procedures
- Cylinder storage & handling
- PPE & First aid
- Legislation & Codes of Practice
During the practical element of the course (1 hour) learners will have the opportunity to undertake:
