Air Products offers a fully integrated and customisable line of equipment for hydrogen fuelling. Our fuelling stations are proven technology and include compression, storage, and dispensing. The equipment is designed for minimal installation and can be used with any source of hydrogen, including liquid or gaseous supply modes. Cars, trucks, vans, buses, coaches, forklifts, planes, boats, material handling equipment, and even submarines have been fuelled with Air Products’ hydrogen fuelling technologies.
How does hydrogen fuelling work and is it safe?
Fuelling a hydrogen vehicle is similar to fuelling a petrol- or diesel-powered vehicle and takes about the same time.

How does a hydrogen fuelling station work?
Hydrogen fuelling is much like conventional fuelling. To refuel, simply select a nozzle at the appropriate pressure for your vehicle type—like choosing petrol versus diesel fuelling. Next, attach the nozzle to your vehicle. Sensors ensure the seal is complete; hydrogen will not dispense if the sensors don’t detect a complete seal. Like petrol or diesel fuelling, a screen at the dispenser will indicate when fuelling has completed and how much hydrogen has been dispensed.
